Exterior of the store at sunsetOctober is the icing for living in the Midwest. When the weather starts cooling down, nothing could make me happier. The leaves are turning, the windows are open and I traded in the sandals for my old cowboy boots today. Yee-haw, fall is here.
The Round Top antiques were unloaded in the garage and are now being delivered to the store a little every day. Doing the cleaning and pricing on these items takes time. The backroom of the store is filled to the max with new fall and Christmas merchandise arriving daily and we are in full swing getting our booth together for the Junior League Holiday Mart, October 23-27. (see our monthly calendar below).

The blog entries may be few and far between this month as this is the season retailers get ready for all year. My staff is getting organized, some new hires are on board too which always keeps the energy flowing and I am having my regular meltdowns while juggling the highs and lows of being a business owner, but, learning an important lesson: to always keep the medication filled!
